DIPIKA GUHA was born in Calcutta and raised in India, Russia and the United Kingdom. Her plays include Yoga Play (South Coast Repertory Theatre), The Art of Gaman (KILROYS LIST ’16, Berkeley Rep Ground Floor, Relentless Award Semi-Finalist), I Enter the Valley (Theatreworks New Play Festival, Southern Rep New Play Festival, KILROYS LIST ’15), Mechanics of Love (Crowded Fire Theatre, Two by For, NYC), The Rules (SF Playhouse) and Blown Youth (published by Playscripts). She is currently under commission from Manhattan Theatre Club/Sloan, OSF, Oregon Symphony, McCarter Theatre’s Princeton and Slavery Project, Barrington Stage Company, Playwrights Horizons Theatre School, New Conservatory Theatre Center and a co-commission from ACT and Z Space. Dipika was recently an artist in residence at Orville Schell Center for Human Rights at Yale Law School and is a Hodder Fellow for the upcoming year 2017-2018 at the Lewis Center for the Arts at Princeton. Education: BA in English Literature from University College London, a Frank Knox Fellowship to Harvard University and an MFA from the Yale School of Drama under Paula Vogel.


An award-winning director, theatre educator, and theatre maker, Susannah has been a part of the Bay Area theatre community for over two decades.  Recent credits include David Greig’s THE EVENTS and Christopher Chen’s CAUGHT (both at Shotgun Players, where she is a company member), Erin Bregman’s THAT IT ALL MAKES PERFECT… with 6NewPlays, and Dipika Guha’s THE RULES at San Francisco Playhouse.  To keep up with Susannah’s work go
